Day 1
Fes → Middle Atlas → Ouarzazate
Early pickup from your Fes hotel. Drive south through the stunning Middle Atlas — Ifrane (the Swiss-style Moroccan town), Azrou cedar forest (home to Barbary macaques), Midelt and the Ziz Gorge. Continue through the High Atlas foothills to Ouarzazate. Overnight in Ouarzazate — the gateway to the Sahara.
Day 2
Ouarzazate → Ait Benhaddou → Marrakech
Morning visit to Ait Benhaddou — the UNESCO World Heritage fortified kasbah used as a backdrop for films including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Visit Ouarzazate film studios (optional). Cross the spectacular High Atlas via Tichka Pass (2,260m) with panoramic mountain views. Arrive Marrakech — drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
