Start at Casablanca with the iconic Hassan II Mosque (one of Africa's most magnificent buildings, built on the Atlantic Ocean). Drive north to Rabat — Morocco's elegant capital: the Kasbah of the Udayas (UNESCO) with its Andalusian gardens, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower and the ancient Chellah necropolis. Lunch in Rabat's medina. Afternoon stop in Asilah — the picture-perfect whitewashed Atlantic port town with painted murals and Portuguese ramparts. Arrive Chefchaouen at sunset. Check in to riad.
Dedicated full day in the Blue City. Morning guided walk: Place Uta el-Hammam, the Kasbah Museum, the photogenic blue stairways and the Ras El Maa waterfall. Afternoon hike up to the Spanish Mosque for the classic panoramic photograph. Optional cooking class (Moroccan tagine or couscous). Evening walk through lantern-lit blue alleys — magical atmosphere after dark.
Scenic morning drive through the Rif Mountains. Stop at the holy city of Ouezzane — a green-domed zaouia, olive oil market and a quiet, authentic medina rarely visited by tourists. Arrive in Fes el-Bali by afternoon. Check in to medina riad. First impressions of Fes medina — an overwhelming sensory experience of sounds, aromas and sights. Guided introduction to the medina layout: Bou Inania Madrasa and the Attarine Souk. Traditional Fassi dinner.
A second day to truly absorb Fes. Morning: Chouara Tanneries (the world's oldest, in operation since the 10th century) — observe dyers at work from leather shop terraces, surrounded by the smell of saffron, indigo and poppy. Visit the Al-Qaraouiyine Mosque & University (founded 859 AD — the world's oldest university). Explore the Andalusian Quarter across the river, the Mellah (Jewish quarter with its ornate balconies) and the covered Kissaria market. Afternoon cooking demonstration or free time. Dinner in the medina.
Early departure. Morning in Meknes: the colossal Bab Mansour gate, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, the royal granaries and underground cisterns. Short drive to Volubilis (UNESCO) — walk among Roman mosaics and columns dating to 3rd century BC. Drive through the Alpine resort town of Ifrane and the Cedar Forest of Azrou (Barbary macaques). Cross the dramatic Ziz Gorges and Erfoud fossil market. Sunset arrival in Merzouga. Camel trek into the dunes. Luxury camp overnight with live Gnaoua music and stargazing.
Pre-dawn Sahara sunrise from the top of a golden dune. Berber breakfast in camp. Optional morning 4×4 desert circuit: nomad Berber families, oases, fossil beds and dune formations. Drive west through Rissani market. Visit the Todra Gorge — towering 300m cliff walls, climbers on the rock face, a river running through. Afternoon drive on the N10 Road of a Thousand Kasbahs: Tinerhir, Kelaa M'Gouna (Valley of Roses, rose rosewater factories), Skoura oasis (palm grove, ancient kasbahs). Arrive Ouarzazate.
Morning at Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage ksar) — wander the mud-brick fortress built by the Glaoui Berber tribe, climb to the ancient granary, discover souks and artisan workshops. Optional Atlas Film Studios visit (Gladiator, Game of Thrones). Drive over the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass (2,260m). Visit the Berber village of Telouet and the abandoned Glaoui Kasbah. Descend to the ochre plains of Marrakech — arrive by mid-afternoon. Welcome to the Red City! Drop-off at riad/hotel. Tour ends.

Having two full days in Fes made all the difference — you can't rush that medina. The tanneries, the university, the souks... it takes time to appreciate it all. And waking up in the Sahara at 5am for the sunrise — that image will stay with me forever. 10/10.
Fes medina is the largest car-free urban area in the world — over 9,000 streets and alleyways. One day is simply not enough to see the tanneries, the madrasas, the souks, the Andalusian quarter and the Mellah. Two days allows a relaxed, in-depth exploration without feeling rushed.
Yes — we pace the tour to suit your group. The camel trek can be replaced with a 4×4 ride if preferred. Riads are all at ground or first floor. We are always happy to make adjustments for comfort and accessibility.
