Morning departure from Marrakech. Cross the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m). Stop at the UNESCO fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou. Continue to Ouarzazate — the gateway to the Sahara. Night in Ouarzazate.
Ouarzazate → Skoura → Dades Valley
Drive through the palm oases of Skoura. Enter the dramatic Dades gorges with their winding canyon road and fortified kasbahs. Stop at the famous "monkey fingers" rock formations. Night in Dades Valley.
Dades → Todra Gorges → Merzouga
Visit the spectacular Todra Gorges — 300-metre sheer rock walls. Continue east through the Tafilalet region. Arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga in time for sunset camel ride.
Merzouga — Sahara Day
Sunrise over the dunes. Full free day in the Sahara. Driver available for excursions to Khamlia, the nomad villages or the Merzouga lake. Night in desert camp or hotel of your choice.
Merzouga → Ziz Valley → Marrakech
Return via the Ziz palm oasis valley and the High Atlas mountains. Arrive back in Marrakech in the evening. Tour ends at your hotel or the airport.
